On the day of the Spring Equinox, Saturday 21 March 2009, the first dance lime tree of our European project was planted at the Domaine de Charly in the village of Mazille (in the Saone-et-Loire department of France’s Burgundy region), not far from the famous town of Cluny.
This beautiful 21-year old lime tree was provided by Pieter Van den Berk, the director of the prestigious Dutch Van
den Berk nursery.
The photos show the journey of the dance lime tree,up to its inauguration and new home in Mazille for the next several hundred years.
